I can confirm that putting an unexpectedly ejected battery back in whilst
asleep caused my 2400c to immediately go GLOD. Chuck, how did you bring
yours back to life after these events? I had to replace the CPU on mine.

To prevent the battery ejecting unexpectedly now, I put a strip of clear
tape over the latch and the problem hasen't reoccurred.
