Hi Everybody,

Now that autumn is curtsying to winter frosts here in
Michigan my thoughts are bowing to migration, and I'm
not talking heading south with the magnificent flights
of Canadian Geese flying o'erhead daily.

Have been thinking about going to a 2400c from my
2300c - haven't been involved in/or paid attention to
any of the 2400c issues, 'cause...well...I'm a
2300c/280c user. wondering if you all think the
machine will have significant future viability for a
couple years - ie. continued ability to get
support/service/parts) as had been the case with my
2300c.

my main complaint is that the 2300c is awful at
surfing, and I find myself using the web more often
than I used to given traveling, etc... btw, is the
2400c video good web performance, esp. with dsl
connection (the ibm thinkpad my father now has is
great response - any idea on performance comparison).
seems with the upgrade cards and little additions the
2400c is the best way to go for not so much money. if
any of you have experience using the 2400c for the
following uses would you please consider sending me a
few notes (off list) related to your usage/experience,
2400c performance-good/bad, in the areas listed below.

I will utilize the machine for primarily the
following: bible research/reference, occasional
international travel (Brazil, Africa nations,
Europe/UK, email, web-surfing, probably personal web
design, some digital video/photo editing, dt
publishing/writing ie. quark/nisus., mp3, syncing with
palm unit, cd's to iPod, and maybe some softpc stuff
!-( for my father.

Thanks in advance and, of course, Cheers - David Nelson
