Thanks for the reply Bob and Tom,
But I still get an instant crash on restart with the cache enabled.

I have an Interware 320mhz card that crashes instantly when I enable
the cache. Any ideas why this could happen?

Is it something that DT&T could fix? Has anyone had this problem before?

The computer runs ok (occasional random crashes) when the cache is
disabled. Of course speed takes a big hit without the cache.

I don't know what software you're using, but go to Powerlogix and
download their "G3/G4 Cache Profiler" 1.5 package. Then, start up with
extensions off, take out whatever software you've been using, and install
PL's app and INIT. Open the Profiler app, go to the Cache Control pane,
turn off Cache, set it for 2:1, check "enable on restart." Go to "Other"
tab, turn Spec Access on. Restart machine. If Comet gets too hot, reduce
cache to 5:2. If lockups are still a problem, go back to Other and turn
Spec Access off, also checking the "Disable on restart" box (never had to
do this on mine though). You should be okay then.
