Try running Connectix Ram Doubler 8 as well. It doesn't impact the system like Virtual Memory does. It always ran nicely for me.

It helped my 5300's a lot. A 5300 can have up to 64mb of RAM total. Your
logicboard will have either 8mb or 16mb depending on the logicboard, so you
need either a 56mb or a 48mb chip. There is only room for 1 chip. The memory
is proprietary Apple but sold by other companies. Try eBay. I've gotten some
good deals there.

FWIW, http://www.cfoutlet.com/29146-00.html still has some copies of
Speed
Doubler 8 left for $12. It does make a Duo 2300c seem to run a lot
faster.
Bought a copy several weeks ago and was very impressed with the
results on a
2300c I was rebuilding.
I've got a 190cs upgraded to PowerPC (5300), Would this help it?
Also, it only has 24 mb of RAM, and I would love to max it out. Does
anybody know how much I can go up to, and what kind I need to look for?
