I suspect this may also be the reason for Rob's slower than expected results.

Rob used an Apple Demo at Macworld. We need to wait for someone to
benchmark an owned unit. He would have also had the same result if he
had benchmarked a demo at an Apple Store--I know this by personal (bad)
experience.
