It sounds like you're plugging in the keyboard while the computer is powered. Try not to do this since it can destroy the ADB chip on the keyboard and the computer, which would be unfortunate if and when you manage to revive the 2400. > After trying to reset it with the button sometimes the green light stays on > sometimes it stays out. This is what tends to fool people. When the light is on the computer is *off*. The steady green light is a diagnostic condition that means the power manager has been reset. When you hit the power switch and the light goes out, speaker clicks etc. that's the 2400 trying to turn on. This is why the light is on sometimes, off others.
