Since duo keyboards are missing some keys found on a full size keyboard are there any keyboard shortcuts which have the same
effect. I particularly need to toggle the insert key.

Not sure but there's a control strip module called "Keyboard Extender" that will give you the Fkeys and 7 others, but I didn't see insert..
