You can use any 36W (24V/1.5A) or 45W (24V/1.875A) power adapter with a 
2400, including any adapter that came with a 280c, 2300c, 1400, 2400, 
3400, PB G3, iBook, or PB G4 (except for white iBooks and metal 
PowerBooks, whose adapters are electrically ok, but won't fit). The 25W 
(24V/1.04A) adapters could be used in a pinch but aren't advised for 
general use. Third party adapters should be fine too as long as they are 
at least 36W.
