[Duo2400] 2400 blinking cursor problems

I just got a 2400 and understand the affection people have for these 
machines. But while word processing the blinking cursor keeps jumping 
around in the text and is very aggravating. For instance, I will type 
a word, "bumble" and it might come out "mu". Or it will hesitate a 
little before typing anything.

My suspicions: I am accidentally hitting the clicker while typing, or 
the clicker needs repair.
Does anyone else have this problem? Thank you.
