So, I got the modem running on my "new" 280c and it now connects to the internet...albeit at 14.4kb. I have even acquired a duo dock, and I am about to test it out.
Here is my latest problem, though. I "won" an ebay auction for a "new" duo battery, and it arrived today. However, when I put it in the duo, the machine promptly dies. It came with some upgrade software (it's a type III battery) which I installed. It still dies.
The duo runs fine with the old (dead) battery in it. It runs fine with no battery at all. But with the new one in it goes dead after a few seconds...even when I have it running off the ac adapter.
Am I missing something? Or have I got me a bum battery? -- Steve [EMAIL PROTECTED]
