Sound like a GLOD (Green Light Of Death). You have probably done everything you can to revive this book, but alas, you may have to send it to
www.dttservice.com They are the only ones that may be able to help you and have done lots of these repairs, including my own. I have not had any problems since they fixed mine back in the summer of 2000. Unfortunately the repair may cost almost as much as the book is worth, a couple hundred bucks. Good Luck.
