Together with a DuoDocII I recently acquired a Visioneer Paperport VX scanner - very handy device I wanted to use for b/w text scans. Now this one (I had one before), supposedly an Apple device, sports a DB9 port slightly larger in diameter than the standard Apple serial DB8. No cable and software came with it. Roaming the net I only came upon the fact that Visoneer once had proprietrary standard (supposed to connect to both serial and scsi) which is not supported any longer. Anyone out there with experience in this? Do I need a custom cable? Are there any DB8 -> DB9 converters available that could suit my purpose?
