For some reason, I don't think it's a Stuffit problem b/c my Stuffit on my Dual 867 also couldn't mount the .smi file. Additionally, I specifically downloaded Stuffit 5.5 from the Aladdin site b/c that version is compatible with OS 8.5. The newer versions of Stuffit require 8.6 or higher.
