I've disassembled/reassembled around 20 Duos...never had a problem with 
alignment.  I just use a battery, slip it into the slot (upper cover off) and make 
sure the contacts make secure contact with the battery terminals.  So far, so 
good.  Just make sure the screws are back in place before reinstalling the 
upper cover...that WILL cause battery contact problems!
