Do you need disassemby instructions, or something
else? Basically any 2.5-in IDE drive up to 19mm thick
(which means basically every one ever made) will work.
Drive Setup formats IDE drives without regard to Apple
ROMs, unlike SCSI drives.

The biggest quirk once you've got the machine open is
that after '98 or so manufacturers moved the mounting
holes on the drives closer to the ends so the stock
mounting bracket's holes don't line up. Most people
seem to use zip ties to hold the brackets on while
securing the brackets to the chassis, then
compression holds the drive securely enough. You can
find older drives up to 3GB which have the holes in
the right place, if that's big enough. MCE fabricated
replacement brackets, but I don't know if they're
still available or if they sell them without a drive
replacement.

I am looking for ways to install a non-Apple IDE
laptop drive in a Duo 2300c. Any ideas?

Thanks
