looks like the serial port on the dock is going down. I got the external modem to work using the port directly off the Duo. Is this a common probelm?

Mine on my Duo 2300c acted like that when:
1) The clock battery was dying (it would lose all the port settings) 2) When the Express Modem Control Panel got corrupted
Both easily fixed.
