Specifically, it flashes bright while on battery. It kind of comes and goes, but seems to happen more as the battery drains. This is with two different batteries that each last about an hour. For now, it seems to stop when I plug in. Tinkering with the brightness does not seem to make much difference.
It's not the bulb itself--I just replaced that to address this issue. (Quite an invasive repair, but cheap at $15.00 shipped for the bare bulb from http://www.mouser.com, and I was feeling like a challenge.) It seemed to stop the problem--but only for a while. Now it's back.
I have had no other power issues with this book, like GLOD or anything.
Now what?
