I have a small 10 watt soldering iron, but I've never tried to solder

Hakko makes some very nice stuff for SMD re-work. A small temperature-variable iron, a good magnifier, and steady hands will do for occasional repairs. Who'd you get the fuse from? DigiKey has a minimum order, Mouser does not.
