It works on mine
Try booting with the card in.
I have the Silver card. but it should work with the gold version also
Double check to make sure all drivers for the airport are installed and turned on.
I actually have both sets of software installed but switch between them using different extension sets.

Before I remove the Airport software to install my orinoco software (which is
advised), can I get the Airport software to work w/ my PC card?
As of the moment, the Airport software does not see any installed equipment
to work..
