Never heard of that one before, I would think if the board was bad it would GLOD no matter what processor was installed.

You did install the newer tech drivers right.

So, quite some time ago I tried to install a NewerTech G3 into my 2400c. It
booted a few times, crashed both times during boot, and eventually would
only GLOD. The factory processor worked fine. At the time, I thought I had
fried my G3 card.

A few months ago, I purchased a new in box Newer G3 for the 2400, and just
attempted to install it tonight. I get the exact same results as with my
last G3. This one I put some electrical tape where the card may have
contacted the frame of the PowerBook, to avoid shorting it out. I got the
machine to chime once, but didn't have the display connected at the time.

Both installs, I was and am now sure that all of my connections were good.

Has anyone run into this before? I'm thinking my poor 2400 may be needing a
new power board. (If so, that will mean I've replaced every part in this
little guy except for the processor. I screwed up a logic board by cutting
a wrong wire, and the hinge on my first display sheared).
