AFAIR the original Dock would go to 832x624, but the Dock Plus increased that to 1024x768, both dependent of course on the attached monitor.

Hey Guys(and Gals)!
There is one way to get 16bit color with the 280C or 2300C- use it in the DuoDock with an additional 512K VRAM installed, or in the DuoDock Plus. the Plus comes with 1 meg of VRAM and will support 16 bit color, although the manual doesn't say what the resolution is. It does mention that it is compatible with VGA or SVGA (56hz) monitors. There is a long list of Apple color monitors that the DuoDock Plus is compatible with. You can also install a NuBus video card for even better resolutions.

Its kind of a shame, in that once you transplant a 65225 video
controller in the place of the 65220, it can read 1 meg of VRAM, but
there is no good way to get the VRAM onto the board.
