The GV drivers are available as a download, it is called an update, but is is a full install.

You must make it think that you already installed the drivers.

To do this:
You must extract the tome and drag one of GV extensions to the system folder.
Then run the update install, the software finds the extension and then installs what is needed to complete the install.

I actually tried a clean 8.6 install yesterday. One of the Farallon
extensions gave me a rectangular white rectangle and a freezeup. Upon
reboot, the Mac fell back to my emergency install of 7.6.1 on a
smaller partition. Disk utility would not make the 8.6 folder workable
again even if I took the offending extensions out. I then reinstalled
9.1 and tried the Farallon install again. No Farallon or alternate
options were available after installation throught TCP/IP. CSS3.0 was
installed as a library, but enabling or disabling it seems to have no
effect on making these cards work.

I am going nuts trying to get wired Ethernet going on the 2400c. I
just secured a Global Village modem / Ethernet card. It was cheap, so
I went for it. I don't think that drivers are included. Anyone have
them? One more try, I s'pose.

Thanks,

Try updating to 8.6. Then try the driver extensions extracted from the
9.1 installer.

What driver extensions? I am thinking of a clean install as I took
another crack at it all last evening. I read on a reputable site that
the installers for some of the wired cards write things directly to
the system file, so the only way to get rid of them is a clean
install. I am contemplating a clean install and dropping back to 8.6
on the 2400c to reduce overhead.

The cards do not work on my 3400c either.

I'm sorry, somehow I was thinking of Airport extensions. Another Senior
Moment, no doubt. But I do recall that the reason 8.6 was released so
quickly was to correct major errors in 8.5. Maybe it was an ethernet
issue. Good luck!
