When they say they don't support freePPP, they may mean THEY do not give technical support for it.
I used to work at eskimo.com and if you wanted to try to see if this problem can be reproduced elsewhere, for free, they have a 2 week trial account. they don't try to extract payment from you, if you don't pay at the end of the trial they just close the account. Also they have live help and no phone tree to go through.
