There were several SCSI PCMCIA cardadapters made during the early days of the digital camera boom; I have a Minolta unit (CD-10, I think?) that allows me to use memory cards (with their respective adapters) with my 2300c...

I *think* it can use modem cards also, but I may be wrong on that one; I am just assuming that it has the same function as a type A-B PCMCIA module for the Powerbook 500-series - every (16-bit) thing EXCEPT wifi cards.

I used a Minolta CD-10 with my 2300. It worked great as a card reader. I also experimented with PCMCIA card modems, but none were recognized. I only tried a couple brands, Global Village was one but I don't remember the others. I won't guarantee that you can't do it, but I would advise against spending much money on this exercise based on my lack of success.

One other note, in case it makes a difference to someone: Minolta's drivers for the CD-10 did not work with OS 9. Someone wrote a patch to make it work with 9.0, but the patch didn't work with anything newer than 9.0.
