Wanted to thank everyone for the answers.  I'm on the list in digest mode, and 
apparently there isn't enough traffic for the digest to be real timely.

It looks like the store has adapter and battery-less 270s for $15, so I'm going 
to try one of those.  I think that means I'm getting a color screen *and*, 
importantly, an FPU, even if the proc's a '30.  Sounds like fun.  The modem 
does seem to be a bit of trouble to get from one Duo to another.

I'm assuming ethernet options are all serial port adpaters through an Appletalk 
dongle.  Any easiest route?  Tricks for finding what you'd recommend via eBay, 
etc?
