I overclocked several 100MHz 5300s to 117 (success with every one) after
reading Drew Kershaw's instruction:

Are these instructions at all relevant to the 2300? Or have I asked that
before as well? Who can remember, not me!

Unfortunately I could never establish which
resistors controlled the bus to cpu ratio.
