About 3 years ago when I got my first Mac, a Duo2300, I found a PRAM battery
for it on EBay. I think the guy's name was Donny Monk. The battery came with a
screwdriver to fit the Duo case screws. The battery is actually two batteries.
It is probably possible to replace the cells on the one that is dead, but you
might have trouble finding ones with solder tabs.
Try a search on EBay for Mac Duo PRAM battery.

A quick Google search brings up many leads, including this:

You guessed it, a PRAM battery costs more than the Duo itself.
