Hope you folks will forgive a slightly off topic question.
The problem:
wireless printing does not work
The hardware details:
G3 iBook, 10.4.8
Epson Stylus Photo 820
Apple's AirPort card installed
white flying saucer AirPort base station
The symptoms:
printer works perfectly when connected directly to iBook via USB -
named Stylus Photo 820 by printer install
when connected via USB to base station, AirPort Utility 'sees' it
and refers to it as -Epson- Stylus Photo 820 (emphasis mine)
Printer Setup will correctly add the printer connected to the base
station (i.e. it sees it and refers to it as the -Epson- Stylus
Photo, not the Stylus Photo
despite all seeming to be OK, printing does not work - when I try
the OS goes away for a while and eventually says it couldn't find the
printer
Anybody have any ideas?
