When you say "they", do you mean the Addonics folks, or Apple? I've
got 7.5.3 on my internal flash drive in the 270c, and it works great.

They noted that mac os 8.6 required, but I have 8.1 only on my PB2400c

I've performed the addonics reader upgrade in two of my laptops: a
1400 and a Duo 270c. They work great, but the upgrade takes a little
getting used to because of the absence of noise, especially during
boot. Anecdotally, the batteries seem to last longer with the CF
drives as well.

There are other things I'd rather do, but other than being tedious

not too bad.
If you are going in you might as well think about RAM and even G3
upgrade if you can find one.

I have a 2400 and I've been really thinking of buying this:

already.
Had anyone tried this or have experience with this in another
laptop?
LEM had an article about this to replace the HD in a 1400, it's
significantly easier to replace the HD in the 1400 vs the 2400. Is
getting to the HD in the 2400 not something for the faint of
heart or
would I be okay doing it?
