>> ... does anyone have experience using a 2400
>> and an ethernet PCMCIA 10T card?

I had been using a Global Village PowerPort Platinum Pro, which has 10baseT and a 28.8
modem. The modem worked fine, but I had no luck getting the ethernet to work, so I
decided to buy new cards.

I bought a viking 56k PC Card, which has worked fine, for the modem.

For ethernet, I bought the Asante FriendlyNet 10baseT PC Card. It has worked really
well. Installation was simple, and it performs perfectly....even works after I wake
it up from sleep.

My favorite card is the 3Com LAN+56k combo card, which has an x-jack for the modem,
and a dongle for the ethernet card that allows you to plug in an existing ethernet
cable.....my only complaint about the viking card and the asante card is that you have
to plug in their cables to a jack, which isn't always convenient. Unfortunately, the
3Com card doesn't have Mac drivers.
