Hello all,

I have just picked up a nice duo 280 and a dock from
eBay. Great deal. I have been a dedicated Mac-daddy
since my first 128, but I am completely new to
portables. So enough about me, here is my question:

The battery reads fully charged (full blocks and
battery/plug picture in the control strip) when run w/
AC adaptor attached and battery in. But when I try to
start up with the battery, I get the startup chime,
but 5 seconds later it shuts off. Is this normal for
a dead battery? And where can I get a new battery
other than eBay (don't want to wait)?

Thanks for the help!

BTW, did anyone else think that Pirates of Silicon
Valley made Steve look worse than Bill?
