As someone who is in the middle of purchasing a 2400, I wonder what the general consensus is regarding 8.6. For those of you who have upgraded from 8.5.1 to system 8.6, would you recommend the upgrade? What were/are you happier with 8.5.1 or 8.6? >My 8.5.1 vs. 8.6 experience was the opposite of whoever said 8.5.1 >was trouble on their 2400. I never, and I mean never, crashed under >8.5.1. Under 8.6, maybe once every two or three weeks it suddenly >quits about half of the running applications (as if I had hit "Shut >Down") and then hangs. I can't figure that one out, but since it's >so infrequent, it hasn't been much of a problem. The lower operating >temps and longer battery life under 8.6 more than outweigh this. ---------- Duo/2400 List, The friendliest place on the Net! A listserv for users and fans of Mac subportables.
