I'm on a business trip to the States and dropped in to Irvine to upgrade the Hard Disk on my PB 2400. MCE did a wonderful job. These guys really know what they are doing, very fast, very efficient and very helpful. They put in a new Hard Disk and copied all my old files onto that. They put the old disk into a case and I now have more disk space than I've ever had! This makes it an external Hard Disk. It plugs into the card port. It's a great way to transfer files to and from other portables, by the way. The other thing I can do is to run Linux. I could run it on one of the partitions of my new 6.4 gig Hard Disk or on the external Hard Disk. Since I've never used Linux or Unix before, I have a few questions. 1. Which version of Linux is best? Given that I'm a newcomer. 2. Where can you get it? 3. Is there a readable instruction book anyone could recommend? Any suggestions or advice would be appreciated.
