If you just want to use it closed, you just have to have an external 
monitor and keyboard attached, the 2400 will work happily when closed 
if you have these attached. You just have to start it up, or wake it 
up, from the external keyboard when it is closed.

I suppose you could file off the loop, but it gives me shivers to 
think about that.
