Hi all! I just called DT&T Services about my (still dead) 2400. I talked to a guy named Brian. I said "My powerbook 2400 won't start up" and he said "There's nothing you can do". He didn't know anything about whether I had tried resetting the power manager or draining the PRAM battery or anything, and he immediately told me they needed to replace the motherboard! So now I am concerned that they'll just do some incredibly expensive repair when maybe the daughtercard just needed to be reseated. Anyway, wish me luck. I know many of you have recommended these guys, but I am still petrified to hand over "my baby" to this motherboard replacement enthusiast... I *was* able to rescusitate my 2400 briefly and got to read a lot of the older "dead 2400" threads, so that was EXTREMELY helpful. Many thanks to everyone who contributed! I hope I will be that lucky. ;-) Corina -- ~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~ Like to read? Check out BookChat, my online reading group for PWCs and their friends!
