Hello everyone, I just got a 2400c, and I don't know where I can get a startup floppy disk or how to make one. I specifically need a floppy disk because I am taking the 2400 travelling and I won't have access to a CD drive. I am running OS 8.6 and the hard drive is HFS+ formatted. I have OS 8.5 on CD, and I can startup with it, but that does me no good when I am travelling. I have a Disk Tools floppy disk for OS 8 which I can start up from, but the hard drive is unreadable because it is HFS+ formatted. I think I saw an option to make a startup floppy in one of the utility programs I own, but I can't remember which one it was, and I don't have the time to hunt for it. I have TechTool Pro 2.5.1, DiskWarrior (which, in my non-expert opinion, is an EXCELLENT program- its gotten me out of some serious jams), and of course, DiskCopy and Disk First Aid. Any help? Incidentally, I realized I would need a startup floppy when my 2400 wouldn't start up and I was minus one external CD drive. It happened right after I installed MS Office 98 (my girlfriend needs it, I can't stand it) and restarted. The little smiley mac showed up (I guess meaning the hard drive was okay) and then the computer froze; the MacOS 8.6 welcome screen never shows up. I hooked the 2400 to another mac as a SCSI disk, and I could see the drive. Disk First Aid said the drive was perfectly normal, DiskWarrior found just one minor folder problem, and TechTool Pro didn't find anything wrong (I think TechTool checks the startup drives' System and Finder files). Any definite ideas as to what went wrong? I pressed command-ON/OFF a couple of times before the incident and that resulted in a couple of nasty sounding crashes (I was trying to press command-delete and I missed, the on-off button is way too easy to hit on this keyboard).
