I'd like to thank you all for your excellent help for solving my problem with my Duo keyboard and trackpad, a problem which occurred after I spilt coffee on it. Following the excellent advice at the JBDUOFAQ/frfaq.html and http://members.aol.com/_ht_a/kim/computer/duo/duoopen.html and most of all the respondents above, I now have a working Duo again. Thanks very much. All the best Rory "jpm" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote (on Sat, Jul 31, 1999 12:30 am): > With the flat end of a cheap spoon carefully pop off each key at the > corner of the key. I used a jeweller's screwdriver. Note the distance that the clips should come out as noted at JBDUOFAQ/frfaq.html. Good point abou being careful with the long keys, jpm; I almost broke one of the wires by trying to insert it incorrectly into a key. > > Now that you have all the keys off, you can remove the rubber membrane > below. I successfully used alcohol to clean the sheets, although I did wipe off some of the black compound attached to the keyboard wires, which was worrying. > Reverse the procedure, let the cat back in and it should work.
