I posted a note about losing my lower PC card slot on my 2400 two weeks ago, i.e. it would work with my ethernet card but not either of 2 V.90 modem cardss and only intermittantly with a 33.6 modem card.. Then my communication capability went out all together last week, neither slot worked, and I got a Remote Access didn't load at startup error when I tried to open Remote Access. I traced this to a corrupted "Open Tpt Remote Access" extension. After reformatting my HD and reinstalling Mac OS 8.6, both PC card slots work fine with all three modem cards.
