I have been following the discussion about keeping the 2400 cooler. It appears that OS 8.6 runs cooler than OS 8.1. My question is how much more RAM does 8.6 eat up compared with 8.1? By the way, I have owned a Mac since '84, and I have never had such a stabile operating system as OS 8.1. I am reluctant to change but the idea of having a stabile and cooler 2400 is appealing.
