I don't know if it would be any help and I have deleted the battery problem thread, but I believe there is some info about voltages, batteries and such in the Apple PDF service manual. I have a copy that I downloaded some time ago, but it is inaccessible currently as it is in a non- working unit. Is that file available somewhere on line anymore?
