I've had great luck with external battery usage, utilizing a auto adapter for 
the duo (you can also use a 1400/2400/3400 car adapter as well, they are 
interchangible) and a battery pack used for a video camera or light, which is 
designed to give a video camera about 3-5 hrs usage.  Yes, they are a bit 
bulky, but if you are needing power with a client, slinging that battery pack 
on your shoulder until you can set it down somewhere that could give you that 
extra juice without the need for an ac plug might be something to look into.  
As long as the battery pack has a cigarette lighter female plug at one end to 
allow the male car adapter plug to work together.
