Nick,
I have a Duo 280 running OS 8.1, and it's nice. I never really tried 7.5.5
on it, so I can't really give a comparison. But 8.1 runs really fast and
smoothly (with unnecessary extensions weeded out), and I wouldn't have
anything else on it. I think it has 32 MB RAM, maybe 40. It's really nice
having the better 8.0+ Finder (more command-key equivalents), sticky menus
(don't like this on my desktop, but for a duo, it's great), etc. I would
recommend it.
Cheers,
Jolin
