Tom

I am one of those who would not have anything which says MicroSoft on his
hard drive, but your mileage may vary.

You did not mention how much you have on the PB, but, perhaps the most
important thing regarding the Browser of choice would be the amount of
RAM you have installed, not the speed of the CPU. My PB2400c is going in
to MCE the week after next to have the 240/1MB Newer CPU and 64MB
more RAM installed. After that, I see no reason why it cannot handle the
latest Communicator ver. [4.7] after that upgrade. By the same token, you
should be able to use the latest ver. of IE also.

Right now, I am limited to Netscape ver. 3.04, due to only 16MB of RAM.
Even with RAM Doubler running, I could not get any ver. 4.x of Netscape
to run satisfactorily on this PB. I am running Communicator ver. 4.7 happily
on my old desktop PowerMac 7600, which has been upgraded with a Newer
Tech G3/300Mhz CPU and 328 MB RAM. The only limiting factor on this
machine is the crummy phone line, which at most, allows only 45,000 baud
on a 56K v.90 modem.
