In an attempt to use two monitors, I recently installed a graphics card
(RasterOps 24 XLI) in my DuoDock. Connecting my standard monitor (formac
ProNitron FullPage) to it proved no good - nothing but a flickering
screen. But when I reconnected the monitor to the on-board video (1MB)
-after zapping the PRAM- the screen mask (area used for representation)
was reduced: I now have a black margin of about 0.5'' on all sides. Also
the screen has become instable - flickering and frequent attempts to
"jump" to full resolution. This problem persists even when I connect the
monitor via a MiniDock or use a different PowerBook (230 /system 7.5
instead of my usual 2300 /System 8.1). Can it be that using the wrong
video card has damaged the monitor?
Thanks for any proposition
Edgar
