Gary - I had a similar experience. I bought my AppleCare warranty during the initial warranty period, but Apple never processed it. I've had a very difficult time getting them to find some proof of my order on their system. They suggested that I buy a third party warranty and claimed that Apple Customer Relations (800-767-2775) would have some names of such warranty companies. I called, but thankfully, the person I spoke to decided to help by trying again to verify my original order, which will hopefully lead to me obtaining AppleCare for my 2400c. I know that there is a third party warranty that is available from CompUSA (actually through a separate company, but sold there for new computers). I looked at it initially but do not have any further information. Please let me or the list know what you come up with as I could be in a similar situation if Apple lets me down. Good luck, Drew >I have done a bad thing. I let the Apple warrantee on my Powerbook >expire without getting an extended warrantee for it. Refurbished PB's >do not have but a 90 day warrantee n them.
