I was rereading one of my post, and while it may be a 'nit', I did want to clarify that my comments about any financial problems Newer Tech may have been having reflected product and organizational issues that, as best as I can tell, have been overcome. Unfortunately, they're still out of the PB 2400 upgrade business, but have remained a key vendor in the Mac market...surviving through Apple's downs and ups. As an aside, I wonder how many Newer G3 cards are still available in the market? Should we be buying backups, just like batteries. ;-) On 12-11-99 Ralph, in "chain of consciousness mode" said... "Newer never delivered on their copper card and given their financial problems and current direction I wouldn't expect them to put any dollars toward G3/240 card production. Small market, high production and support/warranty cost, etc....probably why the few cards that get produced are targeted to Japanese owners."
