> If I install the CD writer in my PC, can I set things up so that I can still use > it to back up my PB2400 HD? > Marc When you say PC I am assuming you are talking a Windoze machine? I cant help you with that, but I assume that it is possible, as I can write CDs for all formats. If you are misusing the term PC and you mean your desktop Mac -that is a piece of cake. I would highly recommend the APS [Yamaha] burner http://www.apstech.com/prod/index.cfm?cat=2. I have one and it is wonderful. It comes with software for both Mac & windows and I imagine if you can plug your 2400 into the SCSI daisy-chain, you can access it to back up its system. I have all my machines backed up. Of course it is easier, since all my machines are Macs. Your results may differ. -- Drew ---------- Duo/2400 List, The friendliest place on the Net! A listserv for users and fans of Mac subportables.
