I need to upgrade from 7.5.5 to at least 7.6.1 as a part of my signing up with @Home. I was advised by @Home tech support to go to at least 8.1 (vs just going to 7.6.1) so I just purchased 8.1 from Apple's Fulfillment Center for $19. Then I just heard that MS Word 6.0 may not function with 8.1 (in fact one person said 6.0 trashed his 8.1 OS). I'll be backing my HD onto Zip discs first, of course. I also plan to keep 7.5.5 on my Dock's HD as an alternate OS for a while. Any comments out there on this move? I never got any comments back on an earlier note on why I can't access apple.com so I'll try it again in case I missed someone. Bob ---------- Duo/2400 List, The friendliest place on the Net!
