Make sure the Beam receive option in the Prefs/General Panel is set to OFF. I read that this could be a problem, and in my case it was. Palm Buddy also works great via infrared, by the way, after you configure the settings. Theres also a terrific article (with illustrations and instructions) on syncing a Palm V with an iMac on i.macland.net/i-hotsync/topic1.shtml. Cheers Jose [Stan Bratton wrote: Although the 2400's Infrared control panel shows the 2400 is connected to the Palm the Palm screen continues read "connecting with the desktop using IR to a PC/Handheld" and then "the connection between your handheld computer and the desktop computer could not be established." I have tried every combination I can think still the IR HotSync fails. Any suggestions or observations would be appreciated. I'm out of options.] ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com ---------- Duo/2400 List, The friendliest place on the Net!
