Hi Laura and list,
Not quite a URL manager but something tha has helped me keeping all
book marks straight is to have one main bookmark file in one browser and
then use aliases to that bookmark file in the other browswers. I
happened to pick Netscapes bookmark file as the main one. I made a
couple aliases (and a copy for insurance placed elsewhere on the hard
drive :-) of it and named one "favorites.html" (without quotes) and
replaced the IE favorites file with it. In iCab (try iCab, BTW), I
replace the hotlist file with a similiar alias to netscapes bookmark
file. So now all the browsers have the same bookmarks and it was free
:-). Another good idea is to make your "homepage" be your bookmark file
in each browser. Surfing with all the Java stuff and graphics off until
needed will speed things up and turning off your color and using
grayscale. In iCab, you can set the size of graphics that will or won't
download.
Hope all that is helpful.
cheers,
Randy
